Product Description

Air Optix Aqua contact lenses from Ciba Vision are made with a new hydrogel material that allows up to 5 times more oxygen to flow through the lens than regular contact lenses. This means that Air Optix Aqua provides a comfortable contact lens with great visual acuity for up to 7 days straight without removal. The contact lenses stay comfortable and wet due to the AQUA moisture system which helps reduce the rate of lens dehydration. Air Optix Aqua are a monthly replacement contact lens but frequency of replacement depends on usage. Please consult with your eye doctor for the wearing schedule that is best suited for your vision needs. There are 6 lenses in each box of Air Optix Aqua.

I wear contacts almost every day, usually for 16-18 hours at a time. I have tried many types of contact lenses, and for me, these are BY FAR the best! Super comfortable. Other gel lenses I have found to feel quite thick, and I could never get used to the sensation of wearing the lens (after many years of wearing old school lenses which were much thinner, but not the new breathable material). When I wear these, I can't feel anything on my eyes, and I got used to them right away. Like any contacts, if I wear them for too long or in dry environments, they can get somewhat dry and irritating - however, I've found that to be quite rare with these.

These contacts are fine. I still get some serious irritation from them on occasion, but overall they work just as they should with minimal trouble. The only better contact brand I've used (in that I could wear them for 16+ hours daily without noticing they were on) in the past are currently out of production, so these will have to do!

    Comments about Air Optix Aqua:

I used these daily for a couple of months. I found them very dry and caused my eyes to look bloodshot no matter how often I used my eye drops or how short of a time I had them in. My eyes are not sensitive and I've never had a problem with other brands of contacts before.

        Comments about Air Optix Aqua:

These are the most unconfortable lenses I've had to this day and I've been wearing contacts for the past 18 years. They are rigid, difficult to put in and to remove... it feels like having a transparent plastic tablecloth in your eyes. My eyes can't breath and lose all their moisture.

Used them for the first time this weekend, I have to say I had my doubts about them as I have never used this brand before, but after putting them in and using them snowmobiling this weekend I am sold the are the most comfortable I have used in a long time, no red eyes, no itchy eyes, forgot I had them on. A brand I would recommend if you have sensitive eyes.

              Comments about Air Optix Aqua:

I've been wearing CIBA Vision "night & day" lenses since 2006 and used to love and swear by their products. I routinely wore these lenses for 60 days or more without ever once having to take them out.

A few years ago they re-branded their lenses "Air Optix", increasd the price significantly, and the quality has nose dived.

I've just finished my second 6 month supply of the regular Air Optix Aqua and I can say without hesitation that they are the worst lenses I have worn in the past 20 years. I am lucky if I can get 6 hours of comfortable wear out of these lenses before they completely dry out and adhere themselves to my eyeballs. They are also very prone to small knicks and tears, as well as falling out inexplicably (probably as a result of trying to re-seat them as a result of extreme discomfort).

I thought I'd just been unlucky with the first 6 month supply and decided to give them another go, but only ended up regretting my decision.

I've also tried the more expensive Air Optix Night & Day lenses and while they're much, much better, they're still nowhere near as good as the previous generation of lenses, and cost almost double.

                  Comments about Air Optix Aqua:

I am so disappointed. I wanted to re-order Focus Night/Day but was recommended these instead. They are terrible. And, the interwebs is full of complaints back to 2009 about how poor they are. There's a lot of quasi conspiracy talk too about Ciba knowing they are bad etc. Not sure what to believe. Hate to think Clearly is selling bad product.

I found this Air Optix is the best one for me so far. I found out this kind of the contacts didn't dry out my eyes as much as the other kind. I have dry eyes problem and I believe this the most comfortable for me. It still irritates my eyes sometimes, probably because I have dry eyes problem. What I need to do is to carry some eye drops with me and it will be good to go.

I have just started out wearing contacts and my eye doctor recommended these contacts for monthly use. I gave them a try, and they turned out great! I had absolutely no issues and they stayed comfortable and moisturized all day. I did not feel the need to ever take them out. Definitely give these ones a try!

These contacts are great, they almost never irritate my eyes. I was even able to wear them during allergy season when normally my allergies would make wearing contacts unbearable but these ones stayed comfortable.
